CARDINAL was incorporated May 28, 1969 and renamed PAUL CARDINAL PONTIAC BUICK (1980) LTD on May May 2, 1980. 

Hull, Quebec is a segment of Gatineau City which lies on the Rideau River across from Ottawa, Ontario. In the early 1970s Hull was fairly run down and neglected. Car dealers lining auto row on Boulevard St Joseph benefitted from low rent which enabled them to offer competitve pricing. Along this auto row, at 900 Boulevard St. Joseph Paul Cardinal Pontiac Buick thrived in the early 1970s.

Cardinal was dissolved Feb 7, 1984 and was renamed LACHAPELLE PONTIAC BUICK

A long time partner in the company, Roger LaChapelle took over the PAUL CARDINAL PONTIAC BUICK (1980) LTD location and established LaChapelle Pontiac Buick at 900 Boulevard St. Joseph. Martin LaChapelle is the current manager.
