The inspiration for One Owner Collector Car struck on a sunny California summer day in 2003. OOCC Director D. S. Brown passed a neighbors' pristine 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass and requested an interview. The memories of original owner Margaret became the first story on this site. OOCC documents classic one owner cars regardless of condition, blending technical history with personal anecdotes.

One Owner Collector Car was incorporated in 2009 and is headed by D. S. Brown.
